Kerstyn Chang, Founder and President

The driving force behind Kerstyn’s decision to found the Flower Initiative was her belief that investing in the youth of our communities empowers them to become our future leaders.

As a resident of Columbus, Ohio’s South Side, a member of Franklin Park Conservatory Women’s Board, and an active mentor to the youth in the community, Kerstyn is an engaged advocate for improving her community.

While Kerstyn’s career in retail and fashion has taken her all over the globe, she finds her home turf to be a great source of inspiration. Kerstyn takes joy in bringing people together around her and is excited to share that with her family, friends, and neighbors at the local level and beyond.

Jenn Porreca-Faux, Vice President and Creative Designer

Jenn Faux is a designer, living in Columbus Ohio with her husband and two children. “The current social climate has been challenging and divisive. It has been the catalyst and driving force for my desire to share as much kindness as I can with our community, to do good, to bring people together, to teach, to learn and to grow as a human. When Kerstyn introduced me to her idea of the Flower Initiative I jumped at the chance to join her. After nearly two years of COVID, social distancing, teaching my kids from home and many fears, hardships and challenges I can not wait to get out side and do some good! I hope you will join us!”

Eleanor Harris, Treasurer

Eleanor Harris is a fine arts fanatic and part-time floral designer living in Columbus with her husband and two cats. She believes flowers hold the potential to heal and inspire, and she is excited to work with the Flower Initiative to share the transformative power of flowers with her community. In addition to her full-time role in corporate retail analytics, Elanor is a new member of the Franklin Park Conservatory Women’s Board and former longtime executive board member of the Columbus Museum of Art Advocates Board. One of Elanors favorite inspirational equites is attributed to Claude Monet: I must have flowers always and always.

“I look forward to sharing my passion with other through the Flower Initiatives mission”
